Refractories: Refractories are insulating materials that maintain their strength and chemical properties at high temperatures. They are used to line boilers, furnaces, kilns, reactors, and SICHENG is one of the largest exporters of refractory-grade bauxite, using only the highest quality materials for our products.

High Friction Surface Treatment (HFST) Bauxite: Buff Bauxite is a natural, very hard mineral used predominantly in road systems for its high-friction and anti-skid properties. The majority of public sector systems will specify that Calcined Bauxite is used in their road and pedestrian crossing installations. Buff bauxite’s hardness is also beneficial in internal and external industrial flooring applications where a very hard and long-lasting mineral is required to give high-friction, anti-slip performance. Buff bauxite is used extensively in warehouses, loading areas, high visibility pedestrian, and vehicular safety areas.

Welding grade bauxite: Welding fluxes are a small but valuable market for calcined bauxite. Techniques for submerged arc welding require the use of a granular flux to shield the molten weld pool from the atmosphere during the weld’s application or placement. Various proprietary compositions exist and in some cases, calcined bauxite is incorporated into these formulations. Calcined bauxite may, in some instances, make up to 25% of the welding flux.
